Marco Silva should look to sign Henrikh Mkhitaryan from Arsenal, providing the Gunners complete a deal for Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez.
What’s the word?
Arsenal are claimed to be chasing Suarez as Unai Emery looks to bolster his side in the January market, having lost key defenders and fought with limited options on the wing so far in his maiden Premier League campaign.
The Evening Standard, however, report that the club’s head of football Raul Sanllehi is reluctant to part ways with whatever cash the Emirates outfit have stored during the mid-season window, and would rather wait until sponsor income hits the bank in the summer.
Emery is keen to complete the move for the winger come central-midfielder he worked with at Sevilla, who would set the Gunners back £20million, as Barcelona will only sanction a loan deal on the basis a permanent transfer is made in the summer.
Should the deal go through and Sanllehi signs off the £20million, Everton should step in and take Mkhitaryan off their hands, and the Armenian has the ability to propel Gylfi Sigurdsson to a higher level.

Could it happen?
The deal would be difficult for Everton to complete, and there would be severe reservations given the 29-year-old is currently sidelined with a metatarsal fracture, but Arsenal would likely be keen to take his wages off their books.
Spotrac understands the Armenian international captain earns an annual salary of £9.36million – making the former Borussia Dortmund ace the London club’s third-highest-paid player on £180,000-a-week.
At Everton, that figure would make Mkhitaryan the Toffees highest-paid player by some margin, with Morgan Schneiderlin and Sigurdsson currently raking in £120,000-a-week each.
Silva should consider a move, though, as the £27million-rated creator would offer a top-draw talent at Goodison Park.
The FC Pyunik Erewan product is a proven creator with 103 assists and 132 goals in 402 career games, including setting up 20 Borussia Dortmund strikes in his final Bundesliga season before joining Manchester United.
Mkhitaryan’s movement off the ball will also offer Sigurdsson a mobile partner to interchange with as the duo orchestrate proceedings behind Richarlison.
